Apply for an Early Stage Researcher position

Early Stage Researcher (ESR) positions within the SAGEX network are currently available at Trinity College Dublin and RISC GmbH (based in Hagenberg). Each position is a 36-month fellowship, and will involve working towards a PhD in theoretical physics as well as following the network’s training and development programme.

Now confirmed: SAGEX school and workshop at DESY

Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY)

The first SAGEX school and workshop will take place at DESY from 22 July – 2 August 2018. It is part of a broad programme of events designed and run by the SAGEX network, and forms part of the core scientific, soft-skills and outreach training for our Early Stage Researchers (ESRs). The event will include training on scattering amplitudes and advanced topics in string and field theory, as well as scientific writing, good scientific practice and other important skills.

The event has been designed for the SAGEX ESRs, however the school (running from 22 – 26 July) will be open to a limited number of external participants. More information on how to secure a place will be provided nearer the time, or follow us on Twitter to stay up to date.

The SAGEX project has officially begun

SAGEX consortium members at the kick-off meeting.

The SAGEX project officially began with a successful and highly-enjoyable kick-off meeting, held at Queen Mary University of London from 4 – 7 September 2018.

The meeting brought SAGEX academics from across Europe and North America together with our industry partners for a series of talks on the state of the art in scattering amplitudes research. For more information and the full agenda, please visit the kick-off meeting Indico page.
