Today, nearly 34,000 young people from over 100 countries are enrolled in 190 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, supervised by some 480 professors.

Research groups

SAGEX researchers at Humboldt-Universität are members of either the Mathematical Physics of Space, Time and Matter Group or the Quantum Field and String Theory Group. These groups conduct fundamental research in quantum field theory, string theory, quantum gravity, and related areas of mathematical physics.

Current research interests include perturbative and non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theories and models of quantum gravity, the mathematical structure of scattering amplitudes in these models, integrability and dualities in gauge and string theory.

The groups have a long-standing reputation for pioneering work in the application of methods of integrability to gauge and string theories, including scattering amplitudes. Their research strategy is to maintain this by rigorous standards of recruitment at all levels, and by fostering an environment that promotes the best research.

Local SAGEX team

The SAGEX team members based at Humboldt-Universität are listed below.
